Is that their travel carrier? And do they have anything with their scent on it that you can move to the big cage with them? That might help.
They will be scared, that is normal, but I would think they'd be better off scared in a bigger cage than that tiny one. Go ahead and put them and anything they have along with their meal & water to the larger cage, and let them acclimate to all the newness surrounding them. They will be ok. If you feel you want to sit quietly by the cage a bit, do so as little as possible and speak softly and move slowly.
The second day/night, you can spend more time sitting and talking to them, after you have removed previous nights food, and then when you offer next meal, as well as in between for maintenance. On or after the third day, start spending more and more time getting them acclimated to you. And almost forgot, start offering some treats.

Yeah that was the carrier the breeder brought them in. She told me to keep them in there for a day or two but I really didn't want to since I had this amazing new house for them. So thank you Terry for coming to the rescue Thankfully before I moved them they decided to sleep in their new pouch for a bit. I got them all moved to their new home. Unfortunately, the only thing they had with their scent on it I just put through the wash because it smelt awful. Guess I shouldn't have done that. I assume they'll have a busy night of marking all of the new stuff -_- I need to get over my fear of touching them if they start to crab. Guess I need to get used to the fact that I will probably be bit a few times. I held them separately for a very brief amount of time and they each laid in my hand and only crabbed a very little bit. I really appreciate the advice Terry. I'll leave them be for a few days and let them acclimate. I've just wanted them for so long it's hard not to want to interact with them right away. Also, I will have them on the BML diet so I'm not too sure what qualifies as a "treat". Fruits and mealys?

Other favorite treats here are pine nuts, slivered almonds, dried papaya, dried pineapple, and dried cranberries.

I picked up some slivered almonds and yogurt drops. They've been sleeping since 6:30am and it's now almost 6pm. Should I wake them for dinner? I mean I haven't seen them at all today. Sorry for all the questions...I guess it's true that bringing home your first gliders is like bringing home your first baby. The breeder told me to keep them on their 7am-4pm sleep schedule but I'm also trying to take Terry's advice and leave them alone for a few days. I'm quite conflicted here.

I've found that light levels in the room can make a significant difference to their comfort level. Try using a nightlight or simply turn off the lights in the room the gliders are in and turn on the lights in the next room. If you have and blue or red colored lights those won't bother their eyes either.

Sorry, I just meant for interactions at night. They need light during the day to help regulate their sleep cycle

Light does play a large role in their schedule, however I have found that as long as the light is considerably dim they should come out a bit.
I know living arrangements can alter how you do things, but here is how my glider's schedule works.
I usually try to have their food in the cage by 6pm (I'm running a little late tonight, lol). Sometimes they're up earlier looking for it, other times they get up a little while after I place it in. Well the girls may wait, my boy Ollie will come down to eat right away usually and he doesn't care if the bright light is on. I'm thinking he had just either been used to brighter light, maybe it doesn't bother him so much, or he just doesn't care when he wants to eat, lol.
All my gliders at some point will come out to grab a bite during what I'd call early eve for the most part. The daylight changes per season may alter it some, but basically, they come out to eat a bit, go back to bed and then come out later after it's dark, like anywhere between 9 and 11. They will be in and out of their pouch all night eating and playing. They usually go to bed around 6am, but have stayed up to 7am.
It's not that unusual for them to find their own schedule, just try to be as consistent as you can with the schedule you keep with them.
I'm off to go feed my amigos now.

Drez I actually left my girls for 2 nights then I started to carry them in the bonding pouch during the day. I actually had them out in the bathroom to have some out of pouch time. I actually brought my other glider in ( in her pouch) and they all decided they wanted to meet (even Freya) so as long as you watch them they can work on getting along. Outside the oldest glider I think they all are going to be ok over the next few weeks with play time until I can get them a new cage to live in.

I'm glad all of you're fuzz butts are warming up to teach other I'm sure it can take some time to acclimate 4 more to a single glider. I do believe mine are starting to come around. Woke up this morning and it looked like they had quite a busy night. They're not sleeping together this morning however. Guess I gave them too many comfy options haha.

I, personally, wouldn't wake them up unless you were concerned that something was wrong with them. As long as they have natural light, they're schedule will adjust accordingly. In the summer, when it gets dark much later, you'll notice they get up much later than in the winter when it gets dark earlier.

Okay, well I'll let them be sleepy heads then. The breeder just told me to try and get them on a schedule but I guess they really make their own schedule Thanks for all of the great advice. They both seem to have snapped out of their funk. They were having a ball just riding on the outside of the wheel spinning around haha.

I'm glad to hear they're becoming more acclimated and beginning to enjoy themselves. This is just part of the pay off imo, I love knowing my gliders are happy and having fun. The other part of the pay off is when they make those steps towards trusting you, every little step just overflows my heart.

Yeah I think I may have some tent time tonight. Not really do anything. Just let them crawl around and smell me. I'll bring in treats like yoggies and mealys to entice them a bit. Hoping it goes well. Stitch leaped from their house last night and tried to make a run for it. They're fast little buggers. Thankfully he took a wrong turn and got himself in a dead end. He was not happy when I caught him but he never bit me. I do see them peeking their heads out of their sleeping pouches/coconut house when I talk to them. Was pretty excited about that.
