I brought my babies home, and I have some questions..
Two days ago, they were eating almost all their food. Last night they barely touched it. Should I leave something in the cage for them to snack on, or leave some new food? I don't want them to dehydrate.
My baby girl sometimes will sit and stare, almost looking frozen in fear, for a very long time. She first did this when a metal piece from a toy was inside the cage, and she'd bounce from side to side and maybe forward, confused. I thought she was just scared of it and I immediately fixed it, then she quit. Is this normal, or should I talk to the
vet about this when I take them in for a check up?
Barking. I'm okay with it; I actually think it's cute and it's not that loud, but what can I do to maybe comfort them? I tried a very dim lamp because I don't have a night light at the moment, and I got up and played with them with a feather for half an hour or so. They stopped, but when I left, they started up again. Since we're not
bonded I didn't know if there was something else making them do this. But, like I said it doesn't wake me up, but I don't really know what they're barking for other than attention.
On a side note, is it a good thing if they wanted to play even after I brought them home? We had a little scare with my boy because as soon as I opened the
bonding pouch to put them in their cage for the first time, he jumped on my hand and planted himself in the hair by my shoulder ( my hair goes down to my hips, and I honestly didn't want him stuck in my hair so I made him go in), but he's always wanting out.
Thankyou.
