Hi all!
I just wanted to share some information on sugar gliders being legal or illegal in Ontario!
Illegal Municipalities:
-Ajax, Ontario
-Barrie, Ontario
-Belleville, Ontario
-Brampton, Ontario
-Brantford, Ontario
-Bowmanville, Ontario
-Burlington, Ontario
-Clarington, Ontario
-Cochrane, Ontario
-Minden, Ontario
-North Bay, Ontario (not confirmed)
-Ottawa, Ontario
-Peterborough, Ontario
-Timmins, Ontario
-Whitby, Ontario
Legal Municipalities with by-law limit:
-Hamilton, Ontario - limit of 2 per household
-Stoney Creek, Ontario - limit of 4 per household
-Kitchener, Ontario - limit on number of pets per household
Please note:
Even though sugar gliders are LEGAL in all Canadian provinces, the provincial law does NOT over rule the municipal by-law!
Always check your municipal by-laws!
