Ive read that a few of you use bathrooms for free play for your gliders. We have been using my daughters room but they go places that arent easy to get them out of. I was considering my bathroom instead but i have a few questions first. Toilets seem to be a big concern but, mine has a door seperating it from the rest of the room. What about glass showers and mirrors? Birds have problems with these, what about gliders?

You can drape a piece of fleece over the glass shower doors. I don't think mirrors would be too much of a problem.

Make sure you check in your cabinet under the sink to make sure there are no holes they could fit into where the pipes come out of the wall.

You don't want them getting into the walls.

Child proof the electrical outlets so they can't get their little fingers in there.

Put away any bar soap while your playing with them.

Also be sure to block the gap under the doors - both to the outside of the bathroom and the one to the toilet. Gliders need very little room to slip under doors. Closing the toilet seat would still be an easy precaution even even with the door closed.

My gliders never had any issues with the mirrors. They would actually climb the edges of them.

I used my bathroom for their out of cage play, I loved it, I had a few things to do to glider proof it, but it was really easy. As for the toilet, always keep the lid closed (when not in use, of course, lol)

Enjoy!
