I was wondering if our sugar glider could play with toys designed for birds. Any safety concerns with size. Ours is about 2 years old, it is a rescue from a family that didnt have the time to dedicate to it. It had no toys in its cage, just a sleeping hammock. We are going to set its cage up nicely, but want it to have something until the new items arrive.
Thank you for any advice.

Usually depends on the materials used, but Im still a newbie. Like no rope, wood, etc. If its just plastic and has a bell then if I remember correctly then its ok.

I have gotten some bird toys, some I've even embellished. I stick with plastics, I like bells, and just look to see if there's anything questionable.

Here are some I embellished.

More recent bird toys I've gotten are these

My sugar gliders like the grapewood [vine] purch that is designed for birds. I also have a plastic ladder that hangs on the side of the cage with a mirror at the top. Occasionally, the ladder is on the bottom of the cage instead of where it was hanging the night before.
