Hey all! I am in talks with a great breeder for my new set of suggies and was wondering how long do the babies stay with the parents? How long do they usually stay in pouch, then how long after they are out of the pouch? TIA!

Most breeders will let joeys go home at 8 weeks OOP, Longer is better. They learn everything from their parents so taking a baby from it's parents too young is not good for them. I think 10-12 weeks OOP is better. I got one just over a year old. I would not recommend that particular age as at that time they're pretty much teenagers and full of themselves. shakehead He's been a brat, but now that he's approaching 2 he's calming down a lot and is turning out to be a pretty sweet little boy.

I like to keep my joeys with their parents until they are at least 10 weeks.
