So my glider wasn't blind when i had rehomed him, he was active and ran around like crazy. When he started to develop cataracts he started having issues getting around safely so i moved some things around to ensure he was safer. Then i finally got him a companion and she eventually got use to him and they hit it off. she used the wheel alot more and got him to use it after 3 months of not using it since he went blind. So i got a better wheel, (use to have the wodent wheel but was worried about safety) but the problem is the stealth wheel is lacking the side panel like the wodent wheel. I moved some things so he would be safer, but i still am worried hes going to be running and flip out and hit himself. I bought one of these nets early on, and i put it under there pirate ship pouch so he couldn't fall easily out: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/f2/2e/66/f22e6612b38847754a585829d5fa893e.jpghowever, they stopped selling these around my area in petco,(which makes sense because after a few washes, and when i tried to move it underneath the wheel it's almost impossible to fully get cleaned since the knots shrunk) So i was wondering if anybody had some ideas how to make something like this for his safety so in case he did slip out he wouldn't get hurt.

You can make something of similar size using double layer fleece. Many cage sets include hammocks that are similar. Check the classified section of the forum. Fleece can be washed and will not shrink significantly.
Fleece is a safer material for gliders than the knotted material used for ferrets.

I've made alot of their fleece ledges, and platforms, including some extra pouches inside of their cage. It's just that i was wondering if their was something that in case he did fall on it he wouldn't bounce when he fell onto it, if that makes sense. Since when he has fallen onto fleece sometimes he almost bounces and has a hard time retaining his grip. I was curious if someone had sewn fleece in strips and maybe used them to create something like this. Thanks for the reply :3

You're welcome, I hope that helps you! It may fit on the Stealth wheel too, just make sure to order the "Large" size that is for 12 inch wheels.
