Hello,
I know we have mentioned the different sounds that our glider kids make, like crabbing, barking etc... I have been told that at times they will bark out as to call a cage mate or if they don't have one, you or I the Momma. It seems Stuart has stopped crabbing almost totally,
However, my hubby said Stuart seemed to be calling me the other evening, and since I cannot hear him I just went into check on him and began talking calmly to him and just sat for a few. It seems to have calmed him as hubby said he stopped and of course he went back into his sleeping pouch and settled down.
My question is, if hubby is working esp.. if it is a night shift and Stuart were to call out for me or something and I can't hear him call, is this a bad thing for Stuart? What can or would it do to him? Would it stress him if Mommy didn't show up to check on him? Just curious don't want him too lonely as I'm the only one in his world at the moment since he has no cage mate.

He will get used to your routine with him soon so I would not worry. Gliders are very smart that way.

We have also learned that some are just much more vocal than others. Stuart could be just extra chatty wink
