Hey all...
Haven't been on in a while. Been a series of unfortunate events out here.
I went up into the mountains with the dogs and the bike. Got lost, got stuck, bike broke down...had to try and walk out. When I couldn't walk anymore I had to be rescued....and that almost didn't happen. The bike is still up there--500 miles away on top of a mountain.

SO a police ride and an ambulance ride later we are all back.
The dogs and I are all just glad to be alive.
But after my return the gliders didn't want to speak to me. They were angry at my absence, I guess.

A day later I go into work...and get fired.

So for the last two days I have been doing a lot of sleeping. Doesn't seem to be much else worth doing.

The last night. I feel...the dogs jump up on the bed. But not the normal way. The normal way is they jump up on the bed and then come up and start nuzzling my face. They jumped up...and started to creep up the bed.
So I roll over to see what is going on, and there is Gizmo...sitting on my chest. Which is a big surprise because he is supposed to be in his cage. He climbed up on me and I got up and put him back to bed.
It's a long way from the cage to the bed. I guess I feel touched that he would come over to me--didn't think he liked me that much. Clearly he and the dogs are getting along...that's good too, I guess.

Anyway....had to share.
Happy Glider-ing all!

So very glad you are okay and were found. My goodness it could have turned out very different shock There is a reason for the buddy system when you do anything that could potentially dangerous. (Have to get my motherly advice in here) wink

Wonderful that your dogs were gentle with Gizmo rather than trying to play with him shock

So sorry about the job and hoping you find another one very soon.

Man, that is crazy. Glad you came out of the mountain alright. Very sorry to hear about the job, though, really sucks frown Good luck on getting a new one quickly!

My gliders seem to do the same thing on and off with the hours I've been pulling. They'll get mad at me for a few nights, then act like I've been away for a lifetime & they're afraid to let me go.

Hang in there, enjoy the love of your furry family, & good luck! We're here is you need to vent or glider-chat.
