I never thought this was weird until my roommate who used to have suggies pointed it out. I've only ever had my little lone Feverstone. He LOVES to play with his rings. He sometimes has imaginary fights with them and grumbles at the rings for hours. Usually what happens is he puts a ring in his blanket or wears one like a hula hoop, seems to forget he put it there, and then gets super mad that this evil ring has invaded his blankie or is touching him. I'm not worried so long as he is happy, but is this behavior common or a Fevy thing? :\ He is very, very vocal and seems to have different pitches of noise. For example, he has a low pitched happy chittery popcorning sound that he will do often, even when he's asleep, where as he only uses his louder happy noise on special occasions like when he is getting a treat. Same with crabbing - he "grumbles" a lot if things aren't exactly perfect in Fevy land and has a MUCH louder scream/crab reserved for the vet. He never nips, but he'll grumble at me when I put him back in his cage... it's pretty funny. If I call his name, he'll respond by grumbling because he knows I'm putting him in his cage and leaving. I have had entire conversations with Fevy this way. He also grumbles if there is a new object near his cage or if the wind blows on his zipper pouch or if he just decides he is mildly upset. My friend calls him the princess and the pea. tounge Sometimes his lower grumble is so short it comes out as more of a sleepy "rawrrwar... rawr..." Curious if anyone has any insight on glider vocalizations beyond the general. They are such weird, mysterious creatures.

Mine (at least one of them) do a half-tssk-half-quiet-crab noise as they all settle down for naps/sleep. Not the same as your describing, I think, but I believe it's a similar concept.

I something think mine forget something they just did, too. I've seen them bring a small toy or treat with them, set it down, look around, then jump like they're surprised when this 'thing' is sitting next to them, HAHAHA! Goofs. :rofl2:

I'm glad I'm not the only one who picks up on their unique noises! Our pair are different and react to us differently, but we know by their sounds what kind of mood they are in. Glad I'm not :nanana: crazy! And if I am, I'm not alone!

Haha that is adorable! Fevy and the rings are a vicious cycle... he takes a ring, puts it in his blankie, yells at it until he gets bored, then goes to get another one and does the same thing. I think there is a war between Fevy and his plastic rings that I will never fully understand.

Lady - same! It's funny how different they all are. I've learned what Fevy's different sounds/moods mean from experience, but I think it's interesting how vocal gliders are. Every now and then he will make the strangest sound and I just wanna ask him what he's trying to say. tounge My favorites are when he does this tiny lil barking in his sleep. He sometimes does a weird honking kinda squeak accompanied by teeth chattering when he is up running around in the evening. I think it's a happy/play sound.
