Are EJackets only used for emergency cases?

Yes, they are used for injury recovery.

An e-collar can also be used for most injuries, and can be made in case of emergency. Directions are here:

After seeing KarenE at the SGGA a couple weeks ago (and with what's happening on Facebook with everything under the sun being DELETED ), I've decided to re-activate my GC account & come back to my roots! A little older, hopefully a lot wiser, but still in the emergency jacket (e-jacket if you will) business thanks to a SWEET LADY who lives in Ohio and is as addicted to fabric shopping as I am! :kisses and hugs: I ran my local JoAnn Fabrics shop out of all they had....and she was kind enough to snatch a BUNCH of material for me to continue my mission to the glider community!

The biggest change in my world is how to REACH ME if you have a need for an e-jacket: AOL won't talk to my Samsung cell phone so I had to set up a GMail account. You can now reach me at: deniserainwaters@gmail.com. Unless I'm at church, at work, or have ran the battery level in my phone down to ZERO....I will respond rather quickly! (OK, I sometimes wander out of T-Mobile's "network", too...that's a whole different rant in its own)

Hello all! I'm new here and new glider caretaker. My nieces gliders had lost weight and weren't eating. She brought them to me and I'm nursing them back to health. So far they're doing great, getting stronger and putting on weight! They're much happier.

I have to ask... What's an E-collar? Does anyone have a pic?

Does anybody know if Denise is still making e-jackets? I sent her an email, address listed in the top comment, and haven't received a reply. I need an e-jacket as soon as possible for my Penelope? She had surgery almost 2 weeks ago and has managed to get to her bottom even with an e-collar. She had to be re-stitched 2 times now. Thank you!
