I don't know who is more upset. My male,Po, is taking a little trip out of town with me. He came with me so he can get neutered in 3 days time. Meanwhile he is in a small PP cage and misses his family. He is shaking and won't come out of the pouch. Currently he is on my shoulder. I am upset that he is upset. Please reassure me that all will be well. For now mealies for him and Xanax for me.

He is stressed, why didn't you take the whole family. If he was going to get her pregnant again, he probably already has.

Did you take any fleece that smelled like his family along. When I travel with the gliders I take their cage pouches that are at least a week stinky.

Give him as much attention as you can as often as you can.

I couldn't travel with a large cage. We both did better later that night. He came out , ate and ran the wheel. I did bring a smelly pouch. I keep waiting for a hurricane, I am not far from New Orleans, for evacuation hell.

Cathy, have some pouch time with him while he is sleeping. Some refer to it as "The Fist" time.

Find a quiet place like TV time and pull him out of the cage pouch and all.have a comfy seat and introduce your fist in there with him. After he settles down, open your fingers slowly and tuck them under him. He will likely groom and lick maybe nibble lightly. And just spend some time like that. He will wiggle around a bit but should go back to sleep.
