Hello all! I just started breeding gliders (only one pair, good genetics, good match, I did my research =]) and I haven't ever seen this coloration before. I think he is a white faced mosaic or possibly a piebald (thoughts?) but he has a thin white streak running through the middle of the black streak on his back. Has anyone seen this before/does anyone know what this is called?

Thank you!!!

White running through his stripe is called reverse stripe.

That is about what I can help you with.

I thought reverse stripe was when there is a white stripe where it should be black? This white stripe is inside the black one, is that still considered a reverse stripe?

Hopefully a breeder with more experience will find this post. I breed, but am not very concerned about markings, when I have a question I message the gal I got my boy gliders from.

Yes, IMO, that would still be considered a reverse stripe. Without seeing a photo, I'm not sure it would be considered a piebald, but that is a possibility.

Here's a picture of him on photo bucket (I would not recommend using photo bucket, it's basically a giant pop-up site that occasionally remembers it's supposed to do something with pictures lol)

Does he look like a piebald, or more like a white faced marbled mosaic, or something else I'm completely missing?

Photobucket is what was used years ago before it became pop up city.

I will discuss with the owner and other admin about a substitute site.
