Rexlace is a flat plastic cord most commonly used for doing the 4 sided braid.

A lot of people use it for toy making, if you do I recommend dipping the knots into boiling water to shrink them up. Otherwise you will have your toys tore apart. They love untying knots.

It's plastic lacing for making jewelry mainly friendship bracelets.

Have you tried a puck washed out(breath savers candy container)? I bought a small box that had levers that lock down the lid at an office supply store.

Easter eggs hanging on fleece rope: drill a hole at each end and thread fleece through. Or just lay the egg on bottom of cage. Hidden .

Rexlace is a name brand of craft lace, and is as described. I use it often for toy making and haven't had any problems with knots coming undone or being undone, but that my be just my sometime unconventional gliders grin

I personally feel that it should be okay that they can get into their forage toys. Placement is another way to create a challenge if that's what you're looking for. I have used half Easter eggs, plastic shot glasses and other open containers (including toothbrush covers). I try to place them where they need to climb out on a limb (perch), a swinging toy, or even have to hang upside down to get to. I also place them where they can reach part of the toy and have to pull it closer to them to reach the treat.

I forgot to mention what I call novelty candy containers. I have some mini M&M containers the the lid pops off the end. Also toddler snack containers (usually in the infant section).

Honey in a straw. Cut a straw in half dip one end in honey ( just a drop or two) and form a triangle by bending and push ends closed. Hang around the cage.

Note: I purged my gadget and toy tote that I store change out toys for them After I posted earlier and found more ideas.

Hope this helps.

Today is my grocery shopping day and you have inspired me to look at novelty candies for more safe toys! Thanks!

Whenever there is a Holiday Season it is a good time to scour the Dollar Tree and discount stores in the cheap/novelty section with your glider friendly hat on for items in which you can place treats or even their normal fruits/veggies at meal time. Just makes it a little more fun for them to hunt for their food by placing them around their enclosure. Sort of a Holiday Scavenger Hunt :thumb2: OR you can use those items for special treats after they have had their regular meal. Either way, however, they are usually most hungry when they first wake wink I would not put liquid staple in them just to make sure it isn't spilled rather than eaten.

Yoggies, pine nuts, pumpkin seed, their kibble, sunflower seed, dried fruit, grapes, peas... Some use cups for mealies, but I have had them escape.
