Hello!

Two days ago I picked up my two gliders, and we seem to do pretty well!

One of them is quite tame already, and she ain't afraid nor does she crab at me. The other one can crab if she is disturbed during sleep, but not otherwise.

I can hold them if I grab them, but they will rather climb and jump around on objects that are not me. Still waiting to recieve my bonding pouch with zippers, but right now I only got a regular fleeze pouch.

I have some questions tough, but they should maybe be in the diet section, but since I I'm new to this I will post it here.

I bought them from Mini Zoo in Gatteo Fc, Italy. They have been feeding them their own food developed by a vet (see picture). They say it's a complete formula, but the gliders leave behind the solid food lumps in the bowl when I feed them this. Meaning they don't eat it all. The food is powder (and some kind of solids), and I'm worried that this is not good enough. So I wonder if anyone else have any experience with this food?

Regarding fruits and veggies; I've been making salads from critterlove recipies, as I was planning on using their critterlove complete aswell incase the other food aint good enough. But they don't touch anything of the fruits, nor the veggies. The ONLY threat I cant find that they like is apples! Apparently thats what they where given in the zoo, apples and that powder stuff mainly.

Congratulations on your new gliders!

It sounds like you are doing fine with the bonding. Gliders do not like hands, they learn to tolerate them. When they are fully awake, they love to jump and run, and climb.

My two are on Critter love complete and they spit out a little of their staple too. But before they spit it out, they suck it dry, and spit out what they don't need.

They will do this with fruits and vegetables too. They separate or hull peas, corn and green beans. Mine goes through a time when they only eat certain things, and other times when their plate is licked clean. So don't give up on them.

I'm not familiar with this staple. Hopefully someone else has seen this before.
