Who uses the TPG diet? I've been using Critter Love Plus since February and my girls used to eat the staple a lot when they were little but now don't eat it as much. I like the diet and the fruits and veggie salads I've just been debating if I want to try TPG for a while. I think it's the part of me that wants to just try something new cause I love them so much and I want them to have more life experiences, lol. :-b Any pros n cons with it?

If they are not eating as much of the staple, it is because they do not need the protein.

I feed the Plus and there are days when I see that they haven't eaten or even touched their Plus.

I very seldom see them not eating their Plus if they have joeys or are younger gliders.

They eat what they need.

There are many people who use the TPG diet, however, there are just as many who do not because it calls for sprinkling the vitamins rather than having them mixed in with the staple.

Yes, you could stir the food after sprinkling, but it is not the same.

Yeah. That's what I was reading. If it's sprinkled on the staple on top what if one glider eats the top layer while another is on the wheel and they when the other glider go to eat, the sprinkle on the top is already consumed. I read someone say that that it shouldn't be mixed and frozen because that destroys the vitamins in the freezer. I don't think that's true because then well... CLP or anything that I eat from the freezer would be vitaminless. :-) Also in Jan 2017 the recipe changed and the fruit and veggie parts doubled in the recipe. That's a big change from the previous recipe. Sigh. So many things to worry about.

I was feeding mind both the Critterlove Complete and the Plus but my husband hates the smell of it so i thought i would try TPG as well. I didn't order the vitamins yet because i wanted to see if they would eat it first. What is the correct portion of fruits and veggies based on the change mentioned above? And now that i read the concern about the vitamins I am concerned about the vitamins as well. How do you know who is eating what when you have 4 of them?

If you aren't using the vitamins, then you really aren't feeding the TGP.
Sprinkling the vitamins could make a big difference in whether or not they will eat it.

I don't know about the correct portions for the fruits and veggies. You will need to check here.

There is no way to know who is eating what.

I have four (but am currently feeding CL Complete). My best recommendation is that is everything is well mixed & you set out enough that there is always a little left over (so everyone got their fill), you will know they ate what you needed them to eat.

The trick is mixing well.
