I want to build a stainless steel cage, but unable to buy stainless frame material. Does anyone have a list of glider safe material, so I I can figure out what options I have.

What kind of mesh are you going to get for the cage?
Depending on how have gauge the material is you may just be able to use stainless steel rings to assemble it.

I have this cage. It's powder coated instead of stainless. It doesn't have a frame, it's put together with stainless hog rings. http://www.martinscages.com/products/cages/sugar/These are all sugar glider cages. It is real easy to clean without a frame.

Thanks. I want to use stainless. I have powder coated, and they peel and rust. It’s been a big pain. It would be much more economical to not have to replace the cages again in 5 years. Back to my original question, does anyone have a list of glider safe material I can use for the frame. My husband wanted to build a cage, but can’t find stainless frames. The rings are an option, but I’m not sure how stron it would be for support, since were looking to build a large cage, like 8 feet tall.

This company has stainless steel mesh, I would call them and explain what you want to do. Stainless is going to be very pricey. Stainless Here is Martins Cages site, their PVC coated wire is safe and you can order it by the roll. Martins Here is another site: http://athruzcad.com/shop-products/caging/

Depending on the guage of stainless you go with, it may not require any support. I wouldn't go with wood, because it's porousand would have to coated with a safe paint and maintained., furniture grade PVC, or stainless pipe. It is available, but extremely expensive.

Does anyone know if anodized aluminum is safe. It looks pretty sturdy and doesn’t flake off

I can't answer that, what I found for cookware says it is safe unless it is scratched then acids can get in and mix with the food.
