I currently use the BML diet but decided to try Critter Love.
I placed the order but now I wonder, is it okay to alternate each month switching from BML to Critter Love as long as I stay with the diet?

No you should not do that. You need to pick a diet and stay with it.

Do your gliders eat the BML? I started out feeding BML but my gliders didn't eat it, just the fruit and veggies.

So I went with OHPW, which is now known as Critterlove Original. I now feed Critterlove Plus rotating through the 5 salad mixtures.

Both are good diets, Critterlove has had more testing and is continuing to be tested by Peggy. I know that because my gliders have given blood towards the testing.

As with any diet, it isn't a good diet for you if the gliders do not eat it.

But so far I have not had a glider turn their nose up to it.

It's okay to try switching a diet if they don't really eat their current one, or even if you find another more convenient or just want to try. If they don't like, don't eat the new diet, after giving a few days, you can switch back or try another. But once you've got them established to one that they like and it works for you, I wouldn't keep switching.

I started mine on the CLO (formally OHPW), and have only switched between CL formulations as what worked for me at the time. I did hoever also try using the EN brand until I learned that they didn't use the WHPS, and then I tried it again anyway to save a little money for a short term, to get through an extremely tight spot in time. However, I do not plan to use EN food again.

You have been given some good advice.

Never switch diets simply because YOU want to try something new shakehead All that does is mess with their little systems and sometimes you will end up with problems you didn't foresee.

Well, I think they like the BML but it seems they leave quite a bit. I ordered the CritterLove hoping they would finish their meals. However, it could be that they are just small enough the amount they eat is enough-not sure as they are about ten months OOP now.
I thought I would try the Critter love and see if they ate the entire meal but now I am second guessing myself. I am taking all of your concerns into consideration and may just move to Critter Love, as I stated, if they eat it all.

Mine still leave food sometimes. But yes, if they are young, they may have more days they leave left overs. Be sure to go through and make sure they didn't just shell(empty hulls), or suck on them.

Hi Dawn, no they eat fruit and veggies but leave about half the BML-thus my concern. They also sometimes leave a few veggies but usually eat all the fruit.

I fed BML for about 9 months. If I changed something, or added something different from batch to batch, they may not eat it. I bought oatmeal and rice, they only preferred the rice. If I added too much honey... Well you get the idea.

The recipe has to be made per Bourbon's recipe, or mine would barely touch it. I don't understand it, I just know how it was.

I started out with BML, but like you I noticed that they were not eating the BML part of the diet.

A diet is only a great diet for you if they eat it.

My guys eat all of their Critterlove about 98% of the time. They love their salads too.
