SO! Im trying to pass all my glider issues on the forum in hope of answers. One of my baby seems to be gagging and like spitting in her mouth and chewing//swallowing it back? If that makes sense. She would do it late at night when she is just chilling in her pouch. She doesnt do it everynight but its not the first time and Im o worried.I went to the vet and everything seemed normal. The vet gave me Sulcrate SuspPlus whatever that is. If this a behavior that can be explained or normalized Id like and try to avoid the medication. Not that I dont trust the vet but it is the same vet that told be to buy dog food for them when I got them so....idk I guess Id like a second opinion! Other than that she eats, go run in the wheel and seems normal.
Thanks

Are you sure that she is swallowing it, as glider will spit out little bis of food that have the insoluble fiber that they cannot digest.

Gliders also spit into their hands to broom themselves. She could be dong that.

Yes I know what it looks like when they groom themselves and this is definatly gagging but its hard to understand what is going on for her like i dont know if she actualy spit and/or swallow all I can see is that she is gagging non stop and like chewing at the same time. Not while she is eating or anything just in the pouch when they are sleeping then out of the blue she starts doing that. Anyways good news she hasnt done it since that last time hopefuly it stays like that. Thanks

I would watch her for sure.

If she's like mine, they aren't real fond of throwing up.

I went through this with Dot when she was swallowing mealworms practically whole.
