Last night Prim was hissing/spitting and squeeking. Her tail was arched like she was trying to poo. This morning I found Jinks on top of her (she didn't seem distressed and Jinks is neutered). There was food left so I don't think Prim ate. I am off to get some canned pumpkin in case it's constipation but am unclear how to give it to her. Any suggestions on that or other ideas on what to do?

Was he on top of her like he was trying to mate with her?

If so she was just in heat and yes, neutered boys will give the ole ball park try for a home run, they just shoot blanks.

I'm hoping that's all this is. I'll know shortly when I get them up. She has been sleeping quietly all day. I would think that if something was wrong, she would have been restless.
