Can anyone recommend a good travel cage for weekend trips? I don't know how much room they need for just the weekend. I would like to be able to put a small wheel in there, and of course hang pouches. I looked at the Pampered Glider weekend bag. Is this big enough for 2 nights away?

Yes, it's big enough. I believe it comes with a travel wheel too. Did you watch the assembly video?

I use a medium popup dog kennel from Walmart with a PVC frame for hanging pouches and a bridge when we travel without RV.

Edit: It costs about $17 for kennel and about $8 in PVC parts. I use fleece to cover floor. I use a treadmill instead of a travel wheel for their excercise. Mine have stayed in it for up to 3 weeks. I lay it on it's side instead of upright.

I like the idea of the pampered glider travel cage is an all in one. You can carry, seatbelt it in and they have room for play.

My popup kennel will fit assembled in the backseat, but not so easy to carry, or secure in backseat.

I have a smal travel glide-arium to travel in and use the popup when I get to destination.

Yes, the Weekender was the one I was looking at. On the video it looks like it is pretty good size. Comes with lots of goodies too! I have a separate big cage that my hubby thinks we should tote along for them, but it is so big it would take up too much room in the car. He is worried about them being cramped. But I told him it is just for the weekend! Not permanent smile

If I had found this travel cage umpteen cages ago, I would have bought it for sure.

I will be looking at this cage as soon as I feel financially flush again. It will make like the fourth or 5th set up I've tried.

A little background on us:
We travel with our job. We are telecommunications contractors. We work in retail units across the US (like Walmart and Target). We travel with a 5th wheel that is more home to the gliders than our home base. When we travel from home to a store and so on, we take the 5th wheel to save on hotel expense and enjoy our "off" time. hubby fishes, I do laundry, clean, cook, play with the gliders and if there is any time left in the day I quilt, sew, or craft. When we have to leave the 5th wheel for a quick long distance service call, visit family, etc without the 5th wheel, I take a popup dog kennel for our destination. The gliders travel in a small travel glide-arium. It's only 12"x12"x about 6" deep. Holds their pouch, fruit to travel for hydration, and a few blankies. Fits great in a seatbelt. Doesn't take up a lot of space. Super easy to shoulder and carry anywhere. It went in to Bass pro shop today. smile I did make a cover for it. Kinda looks like a quirky purse. Something no one would question an old lady about. ("Ssshhhh! No crabbing! Be good!") Till it makes a noise that seems to viscerally turn your brain inside out trying to figure out what made that awful noise...

I have digressed... Sorry...

Keep in mind it takes 4 weeks at least to order. But maybe she has a premade ready to go.

I travel / loan to glider-sitters with this: Vision Bird Cage I have the medium MO2 which is big enough to hold the smaller raptor wheel, a few hammocks, & a large sleeping pouch with room to jump around. When traveling, it comes apart & the cage pieces fit into the base.

I'd very tight, buy I'm able to fit the collapsed cage, wheel, supplies, & a tarp in a soft-side travel bag that can fit in an airline overhead bin. Not that I've flown like this, just giving you an idea of the volume.

All of that said... what you posted looks awesome!
