I have really enjoyed it.

Everyone can come on up here and enjoy our beautiful mountains!! There are at least two of us up here. I have a friend that manages a hotel and maybe she could get us a good rate. Think about it. I've never been to a get-together, so I'm not sure what goes on.

My parents have a home in Sedona, Rocket Man and I visit at least once for a couple of weeks each summer sometimes twice. We come thru phoenix up 17.

Maybe we could get together and meet at Sedona, go to slide rock or something lol...

My mom just left yesterday to go for 3 weeks, then will be back here. Says she's waiting til July to go back for the rain haha...

I'm hoping to get to go in June to just have some time in that house alone with the red rocks, but if not it won't be until July.

I've been to rock slide!! I haven't actually gone on the slide though...I was too little...LOL...sounds like fun!!!

Hello everyone! I'm in Chandler, and have lived here for 4 1/2 years now. I came from Tri-Cities, Washington (SE part of the state) and different places in N. Idaho. I have two litte suggies, Chip (male) and Dayle (female), who are about 6 months old now.

I've been reading the posts on this board for a couple of months now (VERY knowledgable, helpful, and friendly people here)! I haven't needed to post any questions yet because all my questions have been answered from reading all the old posts. So, this is my first post.

I would also participate in a get-together. I'm open to any location you use. If transportation is still a problem for you, JellyBean, I'd be happy to pick you up and give you a ride there.

I'm only 14 and my mom is a bit protective, not that it's bad or anything. She just want to keep me safe. We are trying to get together a AZ get together(reading that back it sounds kinda funny LOL). But anyway Katy and I have been working on it but we've both been so busy. We were trying for the spring but now it's so hot it would probably be better if we waited till fall. Fall is so beautiful here.

I haven't been to the board for awhile, so I've sort of, well, I DID lose touch. But I'm back (if only sporadically). I'm still up for a gathering, whenever it'll be.

We still have our gorgeous house, and we'll be more than happy to open it up to ya'll. It's on the market though, and we're hoping (I mean, uh, confident?) it'll sell soon, so after that, my offer still stands but who knows where I'll be (in the area, but a much smaller place).

Stephanie, we can wait until the fall. Or, we can meet during the summer (it DOES seem to last a long time--until Halloween, it seems). Our house still hasn't sold, so it's still available as the general gathering place. We have a pool and spa and sauna--lots of space and lots of indoor as well as outdoor amenities.

Whoah!!! I just got homr from driving a rescue out to Phoenix... WHAT IS UP WITH THE WEATHER!?! A few times we had to pull over and stop on the side of the freeway because there was no visibility. In Tucson it hit and the rain only got worse. It stopped and it seemed as though it was going to be clear until hours later when the same thing happened in Phoenix. A big rig was flipped too. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crying.gif" alt="" />

Does this "flash storm/flooding" happen often? I know monsoons (sp?) come and go but they are nothing like what happened today (or should I say yesterday!)..

Anyway, it freaked me out!

Yes, this does happen a lot during monsoon season. The weather here is awesome! It can go from 0 to full blast in a matter of seconds! It comes down so fast the ground can't even soak it up (hence-floods) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/help.gif" alt="" />. And it can stop just as fast. It's much better than having doom & gloom weather days <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cloud9.gif" alt="" />.

That was a good choice to pull over, or just get completely off the highway until it subsided. And major kudos to you for helping a rescue! Hope he/she/they are in a happy home now.

It would be cool to meet everyone in the Phoenix area. In fact, speaking of people in the phx area... I remember meeting another sugar glider owner who was working at PetSmart (Warner/Alma School in Chandler). We spoke briefly and if I remember right, I think she told me that she had two SG's but male had a broken leg, so something like that. Are any of you this person, or know who this might be?
