Wow! I didn't realize I'd been off here for so long! Us Mountain Folk are doing o.k. We just finished 1300 sq foot addition to our home! Whew that was a lot of work. We did it all ourself, so it took a lot of my time. Good to be able to stretch out a little -- I have 5 children and we were in 1000 sq ft.

Good to see so many more people joining us. The fall colors here in the White Mtns are beautiful. You should all come and enjoy some cooler weather and gorgeous fall leaves. My house is now available for a get together if you're up for a quick trip.

Linda, do you do rescues often? That's really neat. I'm set up to transport and take in rescues, but only have one little girl right now. Welcome to you all!

Well, all you southerners, I live up in Kingman! There is also another lady living up here that has gliders. Maybe Sedona would be a good midpoint to have a get together sometime? Of course, Scottsdale would be okay, too, with some time to plan the trip down.

It is really great to meet other people with Gliders! I've had a rescued glider, Gidget, for a year, but until this weekend didn't realize a lot of things about them. I met Esty and got two of her retiree rescues. My little girl was so wild from neglect and it was great to see some real tame gliders, get some advice and two sweeties that will hopefully help my little girl. It was such a great weekend. Esty is in Queen Creek, by the way.

Hey! Did I miss something? Was there already a get-together, Gidgys Girl? If not, our house *sigh* is still available for a get-together. Maybe it's destined not to sell until we have the gathering at our home! Who knows? It's definitely cool enough now! I'd love to meet other glider lovers in the area!

Nope, there was no get-together. I just got two of her retirees that she gets from a breeder. Instead of them being shipped off to who-knows-where she takes them and finds them good homes. They are tame and sweet. The two I have never produced any babies. Anyhoo -- I think if we're going to have a get-together in Arizona, someone just has to take the bull by the horns and announce when and where. Maybe Esty would be interested since she seems to be quite the expert. I'll email her and see what she thinks.

Bull by the horns....that's excatly what we need. Katy and I have been discussing it for a long time. Boy, time goes by so fast.

Katy...how are you feeling?

I think I'll mention this...I have a pair I'm going to list in the classifieds. I would love to see them stay here in AZ. It has taken me a while to get to the place I can part with them. If anyone is interested let me know.

Get-together...let's do it!!!!!

Just joined the forum - bought Spouse a sugar glider for his 65th birthday -- he'd been studying all about them and wanted one for 2 years and I decided he shouldn't be denied, so he now has Stitch.
We're in Arcadia. And yes, Pets w/Hands people are great -- Spouse met them because a nice guy I work with knows them, and recommended them.
Would love a get-together -- our house would be problematical, as we have 4 cats (who are fascinated by Stitch, who pulls their fur when they sit on his cage), 2 Rotties (elderly, who are also fascinated by Stitch), a mouse that was going to be snake food but Mr. Snake passed on, and two teenage boys. The question is, who is more trouble ... <grin> ... but we would be glad to bring something along to share if we get together.

Hey guys! I'm in Peoria, lived in Phoenix area my entire life. I have 13 gliders right now, and am getting 3 more on Thanksgiving day. I think a get together sounds awesome.. My WHOLE family would have to come to bring my crew of gliders. Anyone thought of a 'reunion' type picnic in a park or something?? There are some awesome parks in Phoenix. I'm game if anyone wants to help organize.

WOW! Midwestern University. That is a REALLY good school. I was attempting to finish the credits I needed at PVCC (community college) and transfer there. I found out that Super-Calculus wasn't in my nature and changed my major. I hear the courses are grueling and the tuition is around $25,000 a year! GOOD LUCK =D

Ugh...I'm starting nursing school next month. I got a scholarship thru my mom's hospital (she's an RN) so I don't have to pay diddly squat...and they'll pay for my masters as well, if I want it (woo-hoo, free!!). Anyways, I sent some PMs to people I haven't talked to before...we're getting quite a few glider people out here! FINALLY!!!!

Noticed no one's posted here in a while, but just letting you folks in the White Mountains, and in Peoria and Surprise, know there's another glider family here. We just moved to Eagar, AZ, from MD. All my kids and grandkids live in Peoria and Surprise, so I'll be in both places. If there's going to be an SGGA for AZ in the summer, the White Mountains, Show Low area, is a good place to cool off! I have 13 gliders, too, Jelly Bean. Two family groups of 6 each and one spoiled brat!

Welcome....and we are still hoping someone is going to do an AZ Getaway. Albuquerque was too far for many in AZ and held at the same time as the SGGA in Fayetteville, AR. I'll host, too. I live in Eagar(Springerville), AZ, have room, and everything is AMAZINGLY green and beautiful right now. I'm 4-5 hours from Phoenix in the White Mountain area. How about Sept. 3, '05? We can do an afternoon or a sleepover with glider tent time (sleep optional!). Who can make it? E-mail me at []lschus1349@mac.com[/] .

Hi Everyone! I currently live in NH with my husband, we have been talking for the past few months that we are really tired of the cold here in the Northeast........right now it is 22! brrrrrr And our summers are ok, but when we get hot weather it is most always accompianed with high humidity, which I hate also LOL
We are looking to possibly relocate to AZ.......I was online looking at different areas.....Can you all help me with where would be a good place to settle down in? We do not want to be in the city, more outskirts but yet not too far from stores etc....:) All info will be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks so much in advance!
