Sometimes it doesn't take long. At noon, I could still BARELY see the swelling-no one that didn't know Lyah would probably have seen it. I did notice she had some blood in her saliva, though. 8 hours later, it is VERY noticeable. Not so much if you look from the front, but from the top is unmistakable. I will update in her thread, but wanted this separate. For the record-the hardest food they get is yogurt drops. These pics were taken about 10 minutes ago. Here's some pics of what it looks like:

Jaw abcesses are not from Hard Dry Food but rather from nasty bacteria that for some reason or another have invaded the soft tissue.

Sending prayers that your little one will be on the mend real soon.
