I have read about many cases that when their pregnant gliders were fed pinkies or even just a female glider, they can easily become canabalistic when their babies are born. If I were you I would maybe just try to buy her some mealies and or crickets. Just a tip.

I'm sorry, that's just a myth. Pinky mice are actually very good for pregnant or lactating sugar gliders.

I would never feed live pinkies again due to a worm infestation. Mice are notorious for carrying all types of worms, and bacteria when kept in bad conditions. If you are going to feed pinkies. Freeze them, then boil them. This will ensure that there are no bacteria. Some bacteria go dormant in the cold but the same bacteria is killed in high temperatures. My recommendation is after you boil it to let it cool and then feed it. Do not refreeze the mealworms. This causes other problems. I however would recommend not feeding pinkies, but rather a variety of insects appropriate for you diet.

I have a ? about the sunlight/vitamin D. I have a pair of dwarf hamsters that I am breeding for pinkys, if I put their cage by a window would this help with vitamin D? I also like knowing what the conditions are, etc. where the pinkies came from. Now just to see if I can really do it when they have babies!!! Dunno if I can really freeze them! I won't feed them live, that just feels wrong. Not if I can hear them squeek!
