I was not impressed either. Many of the food reccomended we know are not good for gliders. Just what I saw i just did not like. But thats just me. I am stuck on P's diet forever probably.LOL.

Oh I'm not trying to bash P's diet at all! I hope you don't think so. I used it for such a long time and heck it smelled so good I would eat it if I could. LOL smile

I just wish my gliders would love it as much as I do.

Not at all how I am taking it. Just thought that since you guys menationed that it was similar to P's that it would be. Its totally different. I suggest you wait to talk to this person before making the switch to it. Ask them how they came up with it and why, and how much involvment their vet has in the process.

I've been waiting 2 weeks for someone to get back to me with a contact info. for this breeder and discoverer of Elwin's diet.

I wonder if I just stuck with P's diet and then just gave them a few pieces of protein that they like such as chicken or turkey instead of mealies a few nights a week that would be okay.

You should see them fight over the meat. I mean, all fingers and hands must be as far away as possible!!! hahahahaha

There have been several references to Elwin's diet in the last few months and quite a few people were going to try to track him down.

No one has updated that they found him.

I guess when I see a new diet, I want to know how long the people have fed it and how long their gliders have lived, as well as what their suggies health status has been and what the cause of death has been for those suggies who have passed. I also would like to see what exotic vets with suggie experience have said about it.

I have not seen any longevity or health statistics on suggies fed Elwin's diet.

Elwin is actually the name of the sugar glider the diet was named after. I thought the person was a HE too, but it's actually a SHE. That's where part of my confusion layed with trying to track the person down.

As I said before, I've contacted the webmaster of the site and she has been trying to contact her for me. No such luck. Obviously if she does, I'll post my email with all my answered questions on here for everyone.
