This is my first time posting and unfortunately it's not a good one. I have had my gliders for about 6 month's and they both are a hand full but are well worth it but today I came in and noticed my female eating and she has what appeared to be a bald spot on her back. My first thought was that my male had attacked her over food and had gotten injured (HE gets to eat first or no one eat's) and had self mutilated herself. When I got a better look it just looked like really wet fur no noticeable wound. My male came out and his fur while not as bad was wet in the same place. I don't know if this was over grooming or not. Sorry about the picture I was trying to get Miho to hold still
did you happen to smell the wet spot? i only ask because perhaps it's urine. if they're both wet, it seems strange that it would be urine unless whoever got peed on rubbed against the other in the pouch. other than blood and saliva, i have no idea what else it could be.
Well after spending a few more minutes with her trying to get a better picture, the wet spot started to dry up. I'm going out on a limb here with my theory. Logan while waking up may have either marked her or just plain ol urinated on my little Miho and ended up getting wet himself while still in the pouch. Then again why would he do that in his own pouch? Mysteries, where is Angela Lansbury when you need her.
mine get wet from running under the water bottle and end up wet.. i wouldnt be too worried unless it appears again for a long time in the same spot and has a smell to it.. but then again, thats my opinion.
