I started whistling when I give my gliders special treats. Now every time I whistle, they come. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/multi.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/multi.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/multi.gif" alt="" />

Most animals can be conditioned,

It's just a matter of conditioning...like housebreaking a puppy. Give the command/make the sound AS they're doing
what you want them to do.

With my Gliders I say, "Come on guys" and they start looking
for a licky treat.

With Monster, my hubby would give her the command "Get in your Pouch" while holding the pouch up to her. He would give her 2 chances, if she didn't go on her own, he would tap her on the but (sort of hearding) her into the pouch. After about a month, she would go into the pouch with just the command and being shown the pouch. She has become such a sweetheart!

i find an easy way, that has seemed to work for me and my guys (although I have 1 glider who would rather be on/with you 24/7, the other is the complete opposite, and rather would do his own thing most of the time) is just put out your hand (like a landing pad) and call them...also helps in the beginning if you give them treats like everyone else was saying, or just lots of petting and positive reinforcement.
good luck!

I make a clicking noise to my little guys whenever I feed them treats. I eventually moved further and further away and now they'll run out of the cage to me whenever I make the noise!
