So my babies are now 8 weeks oop. The male is doing great, running around the cage and no problems there. The female on the other hand is smaller. I figured that's just her being a female, but she's also REALLY shakey like a newborn sugar glider. She's eating solid foods and she seems fine otherwise, but I'm really worried. Is this something I should be worried about? Has anyone elses female babies been shakey? I have a vet appointment for tommarow, just wanted to know if anyone knows if it's something I should watch.

sounds like the smallest one needs to be seen by a vet. Can you post a picture of the babies or at least of the little girl?

The mechanical developement between the sexes is equal. Physicaly males are a little larger than females at 8 weeks oop.

Sorry for the late update. I took her into the vet and he told me that it looked like an inner ear problem. He doesn't think it's an infection since she's been like this since she was a baby, he thinks it could just be a birth defect. He said that she will learn to adjust to this disability and should live a normal life. He told me that it's not too serious and she doesn't need to be put down or anything like that. She does seem to be doing better with the shaking, she just seems more off balance now.

wave Suzy,
I'm happy to hear that you didn't wait and took her in to be looked at. I would suggest to keep a close watch still just to make sure she doesn't worsen.
Here is a link that will give you further information about your joeys.

What diet are you feeding? Here is a link that will help with understanding a diet for your babies.

Feel free to ask questions anytime. There is always someone here that is willing to help assist you with any questions or concerns that you may have.
Good Luck, and send us some pics of those sweet little babies!
