I've been working on compiling pedigrees for my gliders, and I am planning on using Adobe CS to put in as many pics as I could find of glider ancestors. This would be fun and useful for a lot of other people seeing as many of us have related gliders. It would be great to be able to see the lineage photographically. I've been meaning to ask you Sheila if I could use some of your pics, and I also wanted to ask other breeders I have gotten gliders from. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumb.gif" alt="" />

Because certian breeders want their privacy maintained and because if I were to publicly relase the geneology it could be used against a breeder for inbreeding I am not willing to post it publiclly and only am only releasing it to those who need to know for their breeding program. While the genetics might be of interest to non-leucistic breeders the reputations and privacy of breeders and their breeding programs must be kept confidential. I hope you understand. I will contact all known leucistic owners again shortly for an update, remember it will be very difficult for me to keep this updated unless I get regular updates from breeders as to the sex, oop date, breeder name and other information to keep this updated.

Do you have leucistics?

I do not own a leucistic but I do own a double leucistic/cinnamon het and I have three more double hets comming in late spring.I am working to produce a new variation using the leucistic gene. My goal is to breed a glider that is a blending of the two variations. Possibly a solid red glider absent of all markings, or a glider much like the Flying Fur Ranches Creme Glider.

Very interesting. I used to breed salt water fish. The way most people were able to cross breed properly was threw very open channels of communication. It allowed people to find variations not commonly known to linebreed...kind of like G.C!.. Anyways all this info helps in long long run...thanks
