That's not normal. I'd probably take her to a vet.

vet - now.

Don't wait. Go to ANY emergency vet. Don't call - just go to any vet that has staff available now.

These symptoms are dangerous.

and yes, the vet visit needs to happen NOW, diarrhea and vomiting are VERY serious, and will result in sever dehydration, if not a whole other slew of issues..

vet-NOW-ASAP!!! If she is vomiting AND has diarrhea then something serious might be wrong. Any vet that has exotic animal specialists should be able to take her in right away for this emergency.

Courtney, take her to any open vet or animal hospital! MAKE them see her! She is an animal regardless, they can look up something if they need to or call another exotic vet for advice, just take her! Don't take no for an answer!

I would get her checked ASAP. Since she puked up yellow stuff, that COULD be bile which comes from the liver. She really needs an exam.

If you don't want to lose your glider, you will collect some of the vomit in a baggie, and go to the vet. ANY vet can test that.

It's possible the apple juice ice cube hit her tummy wrong and gliders can get runny poo if they get upset. I'm glad to hear she is doing better now but seriously, I would have her checked out.

How is the temperature in your house? Could she have gotten too warm?

Here's a number for consult this evening: Pet ER-Dr's Emch or Matheson 801-278-3367. They are there weekend nights between 7pm and 7am, and are glider experienced.

it did get warm in here. i gave her the ice cube she was acting fine before it...then 5 min later she had to go to the bathroom her poop was brown and some were green there were like 5 poops then mixed with pee and at the same time she decided to puke on my arm and it was the same color of the ice cube more white is was like an off white touch of yellow my fiance says i was seeing things that it was just an off white....then for a few min after she just sat there on me and now shes acting all normal again. i just dont want to take her to a place that didnt even know what a glider was and im wondering if it was the ice cube and maybe i should just get rid of them...maybe i should just keep her hydrated today and keep a close eye on her and if she pukes again take her in but after talking to that lady on the phone i dont even wanna walk in there id rather take her in for a check up tomorrow to the vet with experience...i mean shes eating now two small grapes and she was drinking up some of that nectar and water

glider's vomiting is never a good thing. There could be any number of reasons for this to happen. Parasites, bacteria, blockages, etc.

One of the effects of vomiting is compounded and made worse by diahrhea is they can dehydrate so quickly. ANY vet can give sub-q fluids to help rehydrate.

I know it is so difficult when your gliders get sick on the weekends or late at night. We get stuck on WHAT DO I DO NOW thing.

Keep her hydrated as much as posible. Water is best. If you have to, use pedilyte. Avoid sugary waters, such as nectar/water combo as the sugars can worsen the dehydration. If you are going to use the nectar/water combo, only about 10% nectar to 90% water.

Even a vet that doesn't know what a glider is has access to information that would help them. I understand you not wanting to take your glider to a vet that doesn't know or who doesn't seem to want to know, I work for one of those. But luckily I also work for a vet that is interested in learning (I did have to push and prod a little bit) but she has been collecting information, phone numbers to consult with, and she's getting more comfortable with working on the little ones more and more. I also know that you must have a back up plan in case your glider does get sick! If I were you I would make notes of all the information, all the phone numbers these members are sending you. Put all this in a notebook, and take that to your vet, so if they say they don't know who to call, well you have numbers ready for them to use. Any vet worth anything will be willing to learn and will try to help you!!! As another member said, a glider is an animal, for vomiting/diarrhea they need to be kept rehydrated, cause when you weigh only grams it doesn't take long for it to get serious. Take her to a vet, have them give her some fluids!!! And if nothing else keep an ever watchful eye on that little one, bland diet/ plain water for an upset tummy. It could be nothing, it could be very serious. Good luck!

Another thought, when you made the apple juice ice cubes, do you dilute the apple juice??? Could the juice have been too acidic for her tummy??? I know I was told when I offer my gliders apple juice to be sure to dilute it down with water. I'm just trying to think of what might have upset her tummy and caused her to vomit. Had she had apple juice ice cubes before???

Take care.

yeah i took down that phone number, and what does glider diahrea look like? like i said there were like 5 poops 3 brown 2 green same color as a green bean mind you thats what she was eating last night. then pee mixed in and it landed all on my arm i took a pic of it. but it was solid...does it have to be runny or just green to be diahrea? cause i dont know and i even have 5 kids.

Diarrhea is always runny - very liquid with little substance to it. If the poop was solid, then it wasn't diarrhea. However, the vomiting is another issue entirely. It could have been from the acids in the apple juice, but it's hard to know for sure. Have you checked Eva to make sure she isn't dehydrated? Gently pull up the fur between her shoulder blades... if it stays up, like a tent, or goes down very slowly, then she is dehydrated. If so, start giving her Pedialyte right away and bring her to ANY vet for an injection of sub-cutaneous fluids (preferably D5W solution)... You can always have the vet call the number that Jen (Xfilefan) gave you for amounts...
If the skin goes back down fairly quickly, then she's not dehydrated and you can just keep a close eye on her until tomorrow when the regular vet is in the office.
Please keep us updated.

Courtney, if you are in Windsor this may be a bit far away from you, but I have a good vet in Williamston, MI that is glider experienced. Their phone number is (517) 655-4906; Dr. Beasley Sr. has the most glider experience but I also see Dr. Nolan and he is good. If you need directions/more info call me at (734)748-4297.

Glad to hear your glider is perking up but I would be really concerned with those symptoms...they could lead to dehydration and death possibly, particularly with the heat.

The diarrhea could just be from licking up too much apple juice from the cube, sometimes mine get that, but that wouldn't explain the vomiting, which is a huge concern.

That Williamston vet may be open today, not sure (it's Cedar Creek Veterinary Hospital). Michigan STate University small animal clinic I'm sure would also take him for an emergency although not sure if they are glider experienced. I know there are emergency vets in the Detroit area you could find.

I would be really worried about waiting...please get him in first thing tomorrow at the latest; if it was my glider, I would get them in immediately today.

Best of luck, feel free to call me anytime.

yeah i did the tent trick and thru that she does not seem dehydrated at all. the poop was solid i seen green and jumped to diahrea. ive thrown out the ice cubes just in case. ive been keeping fluids in her, right now shes asleep in my bra and very content. i think im just gonna keep a close eye on her today and take her into the experienced vet tomorrow. im hopeing this was just a reaction to the ice cube that i gave her..crossing my fingers!
