Their is someone on Craigslist that says her 2 year old glider has cateracts and the vet said he will go blind. I was just wondering how you care for a blind glider? Do you just never move things around in its cage? Thanks alot! Kim

My glider, Abby, was born with only one eye. She does fine though. http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j225/Paula0442/Sugar%20Gliders/100_2238.jpg

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming WOOOO HOOOO, WHAT A RIDE!!!

Thanks so much for the info. The lady is wanting to get rid of him and I am trying to decide weather to take him. Would he be able to go in with other gliders or would he always have to stay by himself?

I had my Pika in with her lifelong mate, Cricky, until he passed away. Then I introduced her to Nara, who was 8 weeks oop at the time... they did great together You have to pick a companion for a blind glider carefully to make sure they will get along and help the blind glider rather than attack it I think introducing a joey would be the best option because they are less likely to push dominance issues.

Sam, she's very special to me, but OH SO CRABBY!!!! She's a lunger too. We're working on it though and she is slowly getting better. Slow and steady is all you can do.
