to introduce a male to a female with joeys in pouch? I adopted a female glider a month ago whose mate drown in a toilet and her owner didn't want to bother getting a friend for her. When I took her in, I noticed that she was bulging with 2 joeys in pouch and didn't want to introduce a male to her at that point. Her joeys just came oop, so I am wondering how old they should be before I can try introducing a male safely. Should I wait until they are weened? I wanted to put a mate in with her to help her raise the twins. I was thinking about trying it in a month. Has anyone ever had a simular situation?

I would not try to introduce them until the joeys are weaned. Chances are the male will try to kill the joeys as they are not his. In the mean time, help out mom as much as you can by keeping the joeys with you and warm while she eats and exercizes. It is going to be tough on her but trying to introduce the joeys runs a high risk of your male killing them.

Wait until they are weaned! The males usually kill the babies if they are IP or even just born. I would NOT recommend anything before they are weaned.
