Ok so i want to get a buddy for the glider i already have but here is the tricky part. I am going to New Zealand and Fiji for 2 weeks at the end of May so i am debating on when to get the new glider. I would like to get it before i go so Piha will have someone to play with while i am gone and he won't need so much attention from my sister (she is taking care of him while i am gone) But will it be a good idea to leave for that long when he is kind of a new comer? Will he bond to my sister better than he'll bond to me? Any help is appreciated!

He will keep the glider from being lonley,It sound like it will be ok if your sister is taking care of them,I don`t think he will like your sister more then you.

Oh, I think I would definately get the new glider before your trip (of which I am envious of!). I would get the new one atleast a month or two before your trip so the two of them have a chance to really get to know each other and so the new one gets a chance to know you too. Then they will have each other for company. Also, take some fleece and sleep with it. Put it in their cage while you are gone to keep your scent with them.
