When I got these gliders over the weekend, I was told that they were a cinnamon pair and a standard pair. Now, one pair is clearly cinnamon, but... I'm not sure what to think of this, he doesn't look quite cinnamon to me, he's pretty light compared to my others.. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c163/TheLunarWolf/lys082.jpg?t=1204825300His mate looks about the same, but their joey- http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c163/TheLunarWolf/lys083.jpg?t=1204825749Looks like that. Is he just a light cinnamon with standard in his ped (or the females') I'm still waiting for the seller to fax it over... So what do you guys think? Also, I wasn't sure where this would go, so mods, correct my placement if I'm wrong...

That's what I was thinking, but my others are darker, a more rich brown and a more noticable tan on the underside.
Thanks for the opinion!

Okay, but why would that affect how the adults look? The first pic, and the glider in color question, is an adult and the father of the one in the second pic...

He COULD be cinnamon, but if the babies are gray, then he's probably stained. I have 2 that look like that and they're stained(I think): The glider facing the camera is a WF, she's gray, the other 2 are the ones I'm talking about.

Oh, okay, that does look like them. I just didn't want to think I'd either been ripped off or misinformed or something... I actually like the grays better than the cinnamons.
How long does it take the stain to fade? I can't wait to see his silver beneath the dingy brown, if that's the case with him.

Staining on the adults can also come from poor diet or being in a dirty cage, pouch, or nestbox.

Well, since I just got them, I don't know how clean their cages were, but the nest boxes she gave me she mentioned were impossible to clean, so I haven't used them. Must have been from that.
Any ideas when they'll get their pretty coloring back?

They are probably stained from the dirty nest box then. They will probably start turning back grey, if they are on a good diet and in a clean cage, in about 6 month - 1 year. Sometimes you will notice it sooner.

Hey silverwolf, I think you meant that for the bunny topic, lol! I just came from there. The BML diet is a good one, right? I give them mealworms and watered down gatorade or plain water in addition to it, but if there's a better one, I'd like to know what it's called. And lets just say that their cages are cleaner than my room, hehe.

Yeah, BML is a good diet. I wouldn't give gatoraid on a daily basis though, plain water will be fine.
