What does a joey look like when it is ready to come out of pouch? My little one has gray fur and a black stripe down it's back and little pink feet (that's all I've seen). One pic I saw on Suz's wesite showed a one-day-oop glider that was TOTALLY pink. Could MJ being keeping her joey too long? I read about gliders that are reluctant to let the joeys go and I know this is dangerous for the health of the baby.

Any pics offered would be appreciated so that I know how far along she is - I have no idea how long she's even had the joey in pouch.

When there is just 1 joey they usually stay IP a bit longer then if there are 2. I'm not a breeder, but that's what I've observed. wink

Here's a pic the breeder(zenexotics.com) sent me when Silvara was still IP(3 days before coming OOP):

Hope that helps. smile

That pic is awesome!

She's grabbing her head wondering how in the world she got into that predicament, lol.

You should put that pic in the photo of the wheek contest. wink

Actually, the picture on my site is of a joey that came out of pouch on the early side. Normally, some of the fur should be starting to come in and the joey should be grey in appearance, not pink. I really do need to update that picture :/

I usually judge when my joeys are about done baking by their tails. When they have fur on the tips, they are ready to go smile
