Our new cage has 1/2 inch bar spacing and so did our last one. I would think that 3/8 inch would be fine since 1/2 has worked fine for us. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Spacing of cage bars should not be any larger than 1/2 inch. So... 3/8th's is fine. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

another way to gage it is that you should not be able to stick your finger in between the bars passed your first knuckle on your pointer finger
