I have been mixing mine all together with an egg mix and chicken mix and freezing in cube trays. I have just noticed that my females didnt eat much last night and the male and female with joey ate 1 cube. Normally its all gone. Im wondering if I should just mix and freeze the ingrediants minus the friuuts, veggies and protiens. Then add the eggs, chicken, fruits and veggies and freeze that separatly or fresh. How are you doing it. I just need ideas on mixing it up abit without making it boring for them. I dont want to switch to another diet.

I make mine with everything except the fruits and vegetables. They seem to like it better that way.

Here's what I do.
I make the basic mix - freeze it in ice cube trays
Boil up the chicken breast, cut it into 1" cubes - freeze in a zip lock baggie.
I buy the Birdseye frozen mixed veggies (peas, corn, carrots, and green beans).
In the winter I buy the frozen mixed fruit - Summer I buy watermelon, grapes, honeydew, cantelope and pears.
In the evening I will thaw out the basic mix, fruits, and veggies. Every other night I rotate chicken or scrambled egg.
I do not freeze the eggs...I make those fresh on egg night.
Mix the chicken or egg in with the basic mix.
Serve 1 tbsp of fruit and veggie on the side with fresh water.
I sprinkle the vitamins all over the top of everything.
My gliders do not like their fruit or veggies mixed in with the mix.

Mine like it mixed in, but what I do, I put a few pieces of veggies on the top (as the rest is still frozen when I put it in). They eat the mealies, and veggies early (they are fed about 8 pm and they eat right away) and then they eat the rest of it later during the night. I sprinkle the vitamins on top of everything. (I put mine in freezer bags and break pieces off.) I don't do the egg one (mine will not eat it with egg). I usually make two or three batches at once.

I like this way....I may try it tonight with what cubes I have left and add some fresh fruits to it to get them to eat it. Then when my cubes are all gone just freeze the basic mix and add everything later. I wonder how hard it would be to freeze teh chicken in the cubes since I use my food processor to chop it up?

What I do with their chicken is thaw out the cube, and then manually break it up into small pieces, and then mix it in with the thawed basic mix. The chicken shreds easily by hand.
My babies like to pick up the tiny chunks of their egg or chicken.

I make the basic mix, 1 with egg, 1 with chicken and freeze it into ice cubes. Then I take 3 different fresh fruits and 3 different veggies and chop them up small and freeze into ice cubes. I was doing 7 different fruit/veggie mixes so that I could change up their food every night of the week. It takes quite some time to cut up 6 items glider size, but I'd just do a different combo every week or so and the batch would make 3 bags worth or so. But I'm finding that even with 5 gliders and joey's they don't go through it fast enough and it's starting to freezer burn. So now I'm going to limit it to 4 different batches of fruits and veg's and just rotate as I run out. I have a list made up of all the fresh fruit/veg combos I use and they are specifically set up to have 3 high cal items and 3 lower cal items, to balance out. My suggies clean their plates EVERY night and don't pick through anything. I melt 4 cubes of each (basic mix, f/v mix) and mix them all together and serve. Initially it's a whole lot of work but It's really worth it. I think that variety is the key to getting them to eat. If they have the same thing every night, they're bound to get bored.

I would love to see your list! I think this would be a great help for those just starting out with feeding Priscilla's diet.

I make 5 batches at a time....3 egg and 2 chicken...then each batch gets different veggies and fruit in it so that provides the variety...then i freeze it in containers large enough to feed 8 gliders for 2 nights...so basically I defrost every other night...this seems to work really well....especially since I try to make it so that the fruits/veggies give each batch a different color, that way I know to defrost a different color to give variety...but everything is all mixed together
