I'm sure some of you saw my first suggie tat. I just got a friend for him. I go back on July 9 to add another and work my way up. I hope to add eucalyptus branches on my bicep. What do you think?

Thanks for the feedback. I've already been asked why I have "rats" tattoo on my arm. Hopefully I can educate people with this. It amazes me the things people will say...

Sassypants, are you going to be at the SGGA, I'd love to see it in person! Lynsie, can't wait to see yours in color! Gorillart, are you going to be at the SGGA? I'd like to see yours too!

I've actually never been to the SGGA. I'm taking 9 hours of college classes this summer and working my tail off. No time for anything fun! Lynsie, are you the one with the tree o suggies on your side? I saw that and it just amazed me....ouch on the ribs, but can't wait to see the finished product! It's killing me just to do this sleeve bit by bit, but it's easier on the wallet and the arm that way.

Mine actually didn't itch too bad. It itched just a little bit for about 30 days. If you keep A & D ointment on it, it helps. You can gently rub the tattoo or smack it, just make sure that you don't pull any of the scabs off.

Awesome tats. I thought sure you had a suggie on your arm also.
It is so realistic and your tat artist is very talented.
It looks to be life size?
Would love to see more of it closeup and also when it is finished.
I think it would be great to have one like that across the shoulder like it is coming from over the back.
So cool.
Lynsie, have we seen yours? I don't think I have but would love to.
Any possibility of you posting them for us?(again).

As time goes by and my loves pass. I will forever be greatfull for the time we had together. I will see you soon my loves.

The symbol on it is an "Om" symbol. It is in sanskrit. It was there before I got the suggies, he just incorporated it. Om is what you're supposed to say when you meditate. It's definition is the frequency at which all things vibrate in the universe. It's a bit of universal continuity. It reminds me that I'm a lil speck in the universe and my problems are really small in the grand scheme of things.

Very neat! I wish I could pick a design and stick with it. I'm envious of the very cool tatts I've seen lately!

I'm hoping to get another one soon too...Most likely jack skellington on my forearm...actually a skull and crossbone (pirates rule!) but with jacks head instead of the "traditional" skull...I refuse to grow up smile

Sassypants, would you mind if I kept the pics of your tat to show my tat person to give him an idea of how I want the gliders themselves to look? I actually want to/plan on having one done from my ankle to my upper thigh, going all around, with all my gliders in a 'tree' (yes, A LOT of work!) But I wanted to show him this to see what I mean on how they should look.

Pappy, you go right ahead! I looked at my artists portfolio first and he does amazing portraits. I thought, if he can do that, he can do suggies. He says that he hates me though for stressing him out...apparently it's hard to make things look fuzzy, and with them mostly being shading, it's a challenge. Very few outlines. He did what he called blood lining, where it's outlined without ink just to show him where the outline is. It's now in his portfolio! I just told him I didn't want it to look like a cartoon and he worked with me. The big thing is placement on the body. My guy is really good with working with the way the natural lines of the body are. I suggest taking in tons of good quality photographs. I even took one of my guys in with me. Check first though....state board regulates against that! If your artist isn't into it, find another!!! If you're in KS, PM me and I'll give you his info.

Thanks! I actually have a friend who is does tats and is an amazing artist! Although she has never done a suggie, either! lol I just wanted to give her the 'look' I wanted. It will be a long work in progress, as I have quite a few gliders, but will do them in the order I got them, starting with Timmy and Gidget first (and she is my biggest glider, at 178 grams! lol) I hope mine will come out as good as yours!

That's very cool! I have 7 myself, but don't plan on doing all of them. I think three will do it, but who knows... If I had a friend that was a tattoo artist, I would look like an etch-a-sketch!!!

lol........the biggest thing I think will be making them all look 'lifelike'. She is going to draw a few things up and see what I think.......

thumb Sassy, I'm in AWE of the beauty of your tatts. Your artist has a wonderful touch!

If I have things MY WAY (which I will eventually, it's just going to be an issue of time & getting the artistry the way I like it), I'll have a WFB hanging from my shoulder down. My ideal position is to have his head "peeking" out from under my shirt sleeve.

I got my first one to celebrate a "milestone birthday" and my husband calls me a hard-core biker chick now...imagine what he'll say when I come home with the SECOND one! roflmao
