Alright, I got my reptarium today! We are trying to think of ways to set it up. And I had one question so far... do gliders see in colour, or black and white, or a few select colours?
I prefer not to go all crazy with neons and pastels and what not, and do have a colour theme in mind.

Also still trying to figure out a good way to create a platform where they can sleep, and especially a stable one where I can put their glider kitchen (once I make one), large enough to accomodate several food bowls and the gliders themselves.
We do have the handy dandy dremel, but I'd prefer not to drill into the pvp pip of the reptarium.
If you'll noodle this idea, I'll noodle it too and see what we can come up with! ^_^

I think gliders see in black and white with only some color combinations such as red, yellow, etc. All the prime colors maybe.

As far as hanging things up, try cable/zip ties or even twist ties. Someone on the board also uses keychain rings to hold her stuff up and it looked like it would work great!

Ok, so we've come up with an idea and we are going to try it. But you'll need a few things.

1.) A dremel with cutting & drill bit.
2.) A strip of plastic wide enough for your cage (a cutting board or rectangle serving plate, etc.)
3.) Plastic Cable Ties or Velcro Wire Ties

- Use your dremel to cut/size your shelf to the size you need.
- Drill 4 small holes in each corner of plastic shelf (large enough to fit a single cable tie.)
- Loop Cable tie over pvc cage pipe & through drilled holes in plastic Shelf.
- Secure Cable Ties tightly.

Cable Ties / Velcro Wire Ties come in many different sizes and colours, you can also use them same set up to create a corner shelving unit.
With Cable Ties is a semi perminate fixture, cable ties are easily cut off and are affordable to replace on an as needed basis.
The Velcro Wire Ties are not perminate and can easily be removed and put back together, they are also inexpensive.

Any thoughts on this?

Also, I work for a place that sells cabinets and makes counter tops. If I were to get a small peice of wood and have them put counter top laminate on it (the same kind you'd find on any kitchen counter) would this be safe for the suggies if they were to chew on it?
This would be an easier and cheaper option for me then trying to find a peice of plastic and then cutting it at home.

Not sure on the laminate but I would stay away from using plain wood due to odor, if they pee or poop it will be really hard to clean. You could try going to the toy store and buying those big building legos and build a little platform for their kitchen (that so cute!!). I'm not sure but it is an idea to try. You could probally find a sheet of plastic that might work as a platform that you can put holes in. Other wise sould like you have a plan!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
