Hi Spot, You need to go to WalMart and pickup an eye dropper from the pharmacy or baby area. Then go to the baby food area and get some Pedialyte (either clear or apple flavored). Then go over to the pet's area you need to pick up the puppy powder formula. Go home and mix it together. 1 tsp puppy milk replacement powder and 3 tsp of pedialyte. you will need to dropper the baby 1 drop at a time. Get the baby warm cold babies will not eat. Pinky babies are very hard to have survive but it can happen. Call me if you need more help. 918-639-0593. Sending prayers your way. Anita

I am so sorry I just went through this same ordeal a last month and I had talked to Sue. The advice she gave me was that maybe something was wrong the baby and you know animal parents know when things are not right. You never know she might start taking care of him or maybe not. The only thing you can really do at this point is leave it up to mom and nature. My prayers are with you I know what it is to feel so helpless.

I am so sorry for your loss of the wee one. Babies that are pink usually indicate that the baby is premature and should not be out of the mother's pouch. For some reason or another the wee one was pulled out. Usually this is seen when a female with joey is in a trio situation. Only advise I could possibly have given you would have been.... warm the wee one first and then try to put it back into the mother's pouch and wait to see if it would be able to latch on to a nipple. Parents will rebreed and start over.

Spot, I'm so sorry that the little one did not make it I was out of town and without internet access. Sadly, if you left a message on my cell phone, I have been unable to retrieve messages due to a provider mess-up Unfortunately, as Judie has already said, when joeys come out of pouch prematurely and are still pink, it is usually in a trio situation or that there is something wrong with the joey to begin with. The parents instinctively know when their joeys are not healthy and their "survival of the fittest" instincts prevail. As humans, we want to try to save any life, no matter how small, but sometimes it is just beyond our control and abilities. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve
