Hey all, I'm new to the boards and am confused about the color variations and the abbreviations for them.

Can anyone help shed some light on this for me?

thanks! smile

LEU/BEW = Leucistic or Black Eyed White
MO=Mosaic
WFB=White Faced Blonde
WFG=White Faced Grey
WFL=White Faced Lion

I know there are others but I don't know for sure what the abbreviations are, so I will let others fill them in. wink

No it is a golden coloring around the head and neck (if I understand correctly). I think it is difficult to tell, but there are some people that can tell a 'true' lion from another glider. dunno

LOL I don't know the exact spelling but it means they possibly carry the gene to produce that color. Leu hets are the most common that I know of.

right. and the percentage of het they are is the percentage chance they can be a 100% het and possibly produce a leu. It's all pretty complicated to me LOL but that's from what I understand.

Het=heterozygous - meaning (in simple terms) that they carry the gene but do not express it. thumb
