Both my 2 week(and 1 day) old joeys were sitting in my hands grooming themselves today. It was SOOOOOO cute!

Anyways, I was wondering when the average age is for a joey to start grooming themselves? Is 2 weeks normal or is that a bit early?

I don't think its too early we had a joey that was around two weeks start grooming. She never over groomed so I think it is ok.

I'm not worried about it, just curious. I think it's the most adorable thing ever, lol.

I remembered watching BeckiT's video of her little boy gromming while his eyes were still shut(SOOOO cute!) and it got me wondering what the normal "grooming age" was. tounge

We have a video of Sarah Ann grooming (and yawning!) when she was 6 days old. Her eyes weren't even open yet. It was the cutest thing! (she was handraised since 3 days OOP and is going on 2 years old now)

Joeys can start grooming on their first day out of pouch. It really just depends on the joey heart Although I believe the average is between 1-2 weeks oop wink
