...you have less than four breeding pairs, but are breeding regularly? I've seen breeders around the message boards and other classifieds who seem to constantly be selling joeys, but claim they don't need to be licensed since they have two trios, or two or three breeding pairs. I'm in FL if that helps with our specific laws...

Of any species if I'm not mistaken...SO if you have a dog that's not fixed it also can be considered under the law as a need to be registered.

I live in Florida too! I have actually inquired about a USDA license and was told I would be denied because I only had 3 breeding pairs at the time (I have two now). The rule is 3 and under = hobby breeder. You DO have to be Florida Fish and Wildlife licensed to legally sell gliders in Florida (not just joeys... technically even if you want to sell your gliders because you can't take care of them anymore) It is not a big deal to get licensed... they just want their $50 a year and want to know how many gliders you have.

That is correct, if you have 3 or under (fewer than 4) breeding females that are USDA controlled you DO NOT need a license. If you have 4 or more breeding females of any species of USDA controlled species, you MUST legally be USDA licensed.
