I have read a lot about so much the last few weeks ... Now I have a community question.. Do glider aid and gatorade do the same thing? I think they have like attributes but do different things...Yes? No?? And do those replace or do anything that the nectors do?? or do I just get them all and rotate so to speak?? Any help from you folks would be greatly used... PEACE..

I use gliderade twice a week. It has alot of carbs in it and is good for thier high metabolism. It is also good to help rehydrate them. Someone who uses gatorade should be a long soon tat can help.

ok, reading the contents list from GliderAide: there's bee pollen, nectar, soy protein, whole wheat flour, & more vitamins than Centrum. Gatorade has.......what??

I feed GliderAide on a daily basis to my 10 suggies....that's one of 2 constants in their feeding dishes.

Gatorade is high in electrolytes, which spells energy for your gliders (I'd imagine especially for recouperating, non-feeding, or weak individuals). It's typically aimed towards replacing lost electrolytes through sweat when people exercise. I don't know if it would be a good idea to give it to the gliders on the regular. It's rather high in sodium (from what I understand, mostly to get people under high physical activity to keep drinking and continue rehydrating themselves... Gatorade has it all figured out, you see! Gotta think about the-----> $$$!!!).

On the upside, they have many cool flavours! I wonder if they're naturally flavoured...?

About the only time you would give Gatorade to a glider is when it is dehydrated. This is mostly done as a substitute when Pedialyte is not available.

As far as the Gliderade and other nectars are concerned it is a matter of choice. Remember to take into consideration the vitamin/mineral content of these drinks and adjust the supplements in your diet accordingly. It is as easy to harm your gliders with over supplementing as it is to under supplement.
