My suggestion is to have the vet culture the little girl's pouch. The results will give a list of meds that the yeast is sensitive to. Also, your vet could do a phone consultation with Dr. Teresa Bradley DVM in Belton, MO.

Lynsie.. have your vet call Dr. Bradley. I really am sorry you little one is really having a difficult time. I do know my vet told me when applying ointments to a glider to hold the glider for ten minutes or so once it is applied so it can be absorbed into the skin as the glider will lick it off immediately.

Poor lil girl! No wonder she feels rotten. Yeast infections are terribly uncomfortable even if you aren't taking meds for something else. Hope she continues to improve!!!

More good news!! Lidia has had solid poo for 2 days now!!! She did eat some of her fruit last night, so that's good. The bald spot on her belly still looks weird but the vet thinks it's from her grooming it, weird abrasion, or maybe just a deformity, we really don't know for sure. Hopefully it will just get better with time. I made another appointment for her on Monday for the vet so we can do another swab and see if the topical is helping the yeast infection or if we need to try the oral meds. I am really hoping that the topical is doing the job. I can't wait for her to get better so she can go back in with Tokyo. Wow, that only shows up with the 1st 7 words, [censored], and then the last 1 words I'm so glad to hear she's continuing to improve, keep up the great work

UPDATE: Just got home from the vet. Lidia's yeast infection is 75% better than last week but not completely. I am to keep her on the topical until the oral meds come in. Hopefully they will be in, in a day or two. I am also going to be putting collaste spray on that weird spot on her belly because it looks like she has been overgrooming it, so hopefully she'll leave it alone with that nasty spray on it. We have also started her on Clavamox because she is still hissing when she goes potty and she reaked of urine today but she couldn't get a good urine sample, so we are putting her on the clavamox in case she has UTI. Also, that strain of meds is the only thing we haven't tried so far. She seems to be improving but not like she should be. It just seems like one problem covering another. Good news though! vet said that I could put her back in with Tokyo!! She said that all the parasites seem to be dying so they shouldn't be contagious anymore and he can't get the yeast infection from her so they should be okay. She looked at the bee pollen today compared to the parasite eggs and she was not mistaken. She even let me look at them. They do look very similar except the eggs have one more ring around the edge of them and the bee pollen doesn't. She said that all the parasites/eggs she has been seeing have be dead or are shriveling up and dying. So, I also got the go ahead to set all the gliders cages back up.

Progress is great news, Lynsie! Not out of the woods yet, but the improvement must be such a relief for you (both!)!!
