I just finished my first introduction/tent time with Thor and Morgana and they loved each other. He was a bit nervous at first but once he decided to come out of his sleeping pouch he had a blast. He climbed on me a few times and even climbed up into the top of the tent. But it went wonderfully.

How many more introductions/tent times should I do with them before I allow them to live together?

I would do it for 2 or 3 weeks. For the first week of tent time, I would put their cages about 2 inches apart. After a week of tent time, I would swap out pouches between Morgana and Thor. Give Morgana Thor's pouch, and Thor Morgana's pouch, so they can get used to each others scent. Then the next week I would swap cages entirely. When you do put them together, keep a close eye on how they get along. If they start to fight, separate immediately.

Well they didn't fight in the tent. She crawled into his pouch with him and they checked each other out and then they both came and and played for an hour and a half.

sounds like you're off to a great start! Nicole had some good suggestions. Definately do the pouch and toy swap for several days AT LEAST before putting them in the same cage. That way they will have each other's scent on them and not smell like a total stranger. Can't wait to see pics of the love birds snuggled up together!

I have been swapping out stuff from each others cages already and they seem to like each other from the tent time tonight. No arguing or fighting.

I would leave them together and keep a watchful eye on them.

I believe what she meant was that since you have gone through all the proper introductions, pouch/toy swapping and having them physically together for the first time, it's pretty safe to go ahead and allow them to sleep in the same pouch together. If your home all day and can keep a watch on them they should be fine. I would not put them in together and just leave them alone for a few days.
Good Luck!

Well they were fine together last night and they groomed each other before they played.

Heather, I'm in agreement with Linda: It sounds like they're ready to be put in the same cage together & see how things go. From what you've said so far, there shouldn't be more than a little "chit-chit" here or there...if you see one aggressively CHASING the other in a single cage, though, then a little more play time together might be in order.

Remember to stay calm regardless of which way the final intro goes: they can read YOUR emotions very well! Good luck!

What about allowing them to go into the same bonding pouch?

Good Luck! and keep us posted on how everything is going. I can just see you anxiously gathering them up, and telling them they get to sleep together now... smile

Before putting them in the same cage together, you might want to wash the cage first and put clean toys and pouches in there to make sure that the cage doesn't smell too strongly of one glider.
