Oh man! Gizmo scared me to death today. She was gliding and jumping and she crashed into the wall and fell to the floor.

She has something like a seizure and was foaming at the mouth. I picked her up, stuffed her in the bonding pouch and headed right to the vet college. Thankfully they are primary caregivers for my exotics so I don't need a referral. She was fine when we got there. They check her eyes and basically gave her a complete exam, as it is a teaching hospital so Giz had her little nose out of joint about the complete molesting she got not once but twice, first the vet then the student.

They decided that she was ok, just shook her marbles up a bit and that I should wear her and keep an eye on her for the rest of the day.

No more gliding for a while for this little furby.

Lord! I don't know if I would have lived through that!

Bad Giz! No more gliding, girl! You are so busted!

If we never loved, then maybe we would never feel pain. Love anyway. It's worth it.

Gizmo is my first glider and holds my heart the hardest. I don't know what I would have done if she would have died.

I have been wearing them all day. Just got back from the store, getting more eggs for HPW and some grapes that I will clean and freeze tomorrow.

Everytime I check in there she just looks at me and rolls over into another sleeping position.

I think she is a little disgusted with me for the probing she got. Being a teaching veterinary hospital they checked everything and I mean everything. So she is a little put out right now.

hug2 Glad she is okay! These scares they can give us can stop your heart as fast as if it were a child! (Well, to a lot of us, there's no noticeable difference except one has a fur coat and the other doesn't!)...hopefully that was the end of it-just a hard knock to the head.

I'd watch for any disorientation or lack of appetite, or sleeping too long (signs we look for when a human had had a concussion)-but hopefully nothing pops up.

Oh yea, I check her out about once an hour. She is getting annoyed with me poking and prodding.

I will be watching her close all weekend.

Update on Gizmo,

She is doing good, I was afraid to check on her yesterday morning, fearing she may have passed away in the night, but she was right there with Ginger for a handout in the morning.

Do they make little helmets for gliders?
