Lynn, there have been alot of changes in reptariums in the last couple years. You probably are experiencing the same thing that everyone else is... I've received bad zippers, bad mesh, stringy zippers that are completely unsafe... but just keep an eye on it. if it breaks, call your dealer and get them to talk to Apogee. Reptariums are a little high maintenance sometimes.

The cover sizes are always slightly different, I have custom frames and mutiple covers I switch out, and each cover does fit differently, one is sooo hard to get one! I have one that fits a little loose also, but I haven't had any problems with it. The covers will wear over time with washing, may shrink a little when washed and the texture will change. They are kind of stiff when brand new.
Some people zip tie the plastic hardware cloth on to their repts, if you want to ditch the covers all together.

The covers I currently have were purchased second hand and are in good shape except for a quarter sized hole in one by the seam, which is easily fixed. What i am wondering is where do you get the firmer covers? I am sick of washing down cage bars & bottom grates! I'm thinking of some repts for my breeding pairs, but want the firmer cover. It's almost like the plastic canvas as opposed to nylon type screen fabric. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
