I was looking around the ikea website and i came across this toy, and i remember seeing a picture of a sugar glider on one of these toys in a magazine, but is this one safe? I use to have an all plastic one in my glider cages and mine loved it... the wood will get icky and unusable faster than the plastic.

I have a plastic one we got from a yard sale a few years ago. It has held up nice. I agree the wood would get dirty very fast, and would be very hard to keep clean.

I have used these and the plastic ones. Usually the wood is very hard as it is expectd for little kids to chew on it, and newer ones have kid safe paint just for that reason. My gliders use it like a jungle gym. It's a pain to clean, but you can throw it in a dishwasher.

I bought one at the thrift store, my kids LOVE IT, I hung it from the top of the cage and they climb through the wires and try carrying the blocks away. Then i bought a small Whinnie the Pooh one and they love that one too <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I think I will have to get my little fur babies one of these!
